I typed in my pin I assigned to it and bam it accepted it! So now I have cashed out my useless vanilla card for something I can actually use. I scanned the DraftKings card, typed in the amount I wanted on it then swiped my trash vanilla Visa card. I didn’t really want to test this payment out with a human either lol. No just trying to solve a very stupid gifting problem lol. I hate buying gift cards because people look at you like you’re shady. I chose lowes because they specifically had the cards in any denomination from $25-$100 AND you can use self checkout to buy them. These are usable for fantasy, casino, and sports book.
My solution was I went to Lowe’s and saw they started carrying DraftKings gift cards. Very irritating do not buy or gift these trash cards they are certainly not “accepted anywhere Visa is accepted”. From my research it has to do with not being able to assign a zip code to the card like you used to be able to which has led to many merchants blocking the bank as it cannot authenticate your identity. I got a vanilla visa with quite a bit of money on it and couldn’t use it literally anywhere online.
